O ramal mais lotado do sistema metroviário paulistano ganhou mais um
trem modernizado, a composição L31, sendo o 20º trem reformado na linha.
A composição pertence a Frota L, onde o Consórcio Reformas Metrô
formado pelas empresas Alstom e Iesa ganharam a licitação de
modernização de 22 unidades, os antigos Trens Mafersa da Linha 3-Vermelha (Frota
D).
O processo de reforma esta atrasado, sendo que era previsto para seu
termino em 2014. Apenas 52% da frota foi reformada, deste total, 37
trens modernizados dos 98 estão em operação espalhados pelas linhas 1,2 e
3.
Os contratos estão na mira do ministério publico com indícios de que a
reforma custou mais cara que se a Companhia do Metrô tivesse comprado
novas composições. Entre as frotas reformadas está a Frota K, cujo alguns
operadores apontam falhas alem do habitual.
Esta repaginada no trem inclui colocação de sistema de ar
condicionado com reforço na estrutura do carro de passageiro; troca do
sistema de tração (contínua para alternada), trazendo melhor desempenho e
economia de energia; modernização e revisão geral dos truques para
receber novo sistema de tração; troca da alimentação elétrica auxiliar
do trem, com instalação de novos conversores; implantação de um sistema
de televisão para uso interno nos carros de passageiros; colocação de um
sistema de proteção contra incêndios; e modernização do sistema de
portas e suprimento de ar. Além de instalação do sistema de som e mapas
dinâmicos.

The most crowded extension of the São Paulo subway system won a modernized train, the composition L31, being retired on line 20 train. The composition belongs to L Fleet, where the Metro Reforms Consortium formed by Alstom and Iesa won the bidding for the modernization of 22 units, the old trains of Mafersa (Fleet D) 3-Red Line.

This remodeled the train includes placement of air conditioning strengthening the structure of the passenger car system; replacement of the drive system (continuous for alternating), bringing better performance and energy savings; modernization and overhaul of the tricks to get new traction system; exchange of electrical auxiliary power train, with installation of new converters; deployment of a television system for internal use in passenger cars; placing a fire protection system; and modernization of ports and air supply system. Apart from the sound system installation and dynamic maps.
