Com a ameaça de GREVE durante a Abertura da Copa do Mundo que acontece em São Paulo, o governo quer um Plano B. Segundo informações do jornal “Folha de São Paulo”, a companhia ira concentrar funcionários do plano de contigência do Metrô, aqueles que não aderem a greve na Linha 3-Vermelha. Com isso, outros trechos menos movimentandos da malha poderiam ser fechado, segundo a publicação.

Outras duas hipóteses seriam o PAESE da Copa com ônibus municipais ou reforço dos trens da CPTM, na Linha 11-Coral.

Desde que se fala sobre a mobilidade na copa do mundo, tanto Estado quanto Prefeitura escolheram o transportes sobre trilhos como meio mais adequado para chegar ao estádio de Itaquera. Isso por que não haverá estacionamentos da região, e interdições de vias próximas ao estádio, como a Radial Leste.

A Linha 3-Vermelha do Metrô é recomendada para aqueles com ingressos da entrada oeste, que deverão desembarcar na Estação Arthur Alvim.

Já os torcedores com ingressos para a entrada leste do estádio deverão utilizar o Expresso da Copa da CPTM que sairá da Plataforma 4 da Estação da Luz (Linha 11-Coral)
